Insurance Sales Agent

Job Description

An Oxford Insurance Partners licensed agent will assist individuals through the important decision-making process of selecting a plan that matches their needs with the optimal product and service. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic and ready to kick-start their career. Candidates must be willing to obtain a health insurance license at the expense of the firm.


  • Handle inbound sales inquiries to effectively sell health plans and products via phone to customers (no cold calling)
  • Quickly grasp new concepts and product offerings
  • Willingness to become a licensed insurance agent
  • Guide consumers through the policy selection and application process and serve as subject matter expert for insurance enrollments
  • Learn and adapt quickly while following the Firm’s internal policies and procedures
  • Provide an excellent consumer experience for all callers and be passionate about helping individuals and families select the best suited plan
  • Comply with Federal and State legal requirements and standards
  • Represent Oxford Insurance at the consumer level and serve as a brand ambassador for the organization


  • Highly driven and motivated self-starter
  • Professional and friendly
  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google Docs Suite
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both consumers and co-workers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting and performance-driven environment
  • Must be able to successfully complete licensing requirements with the help and support of the firm or have a current valid insurance license in Illinois
  • Multi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply
